Need help buying your next car? Click and my team and I will help you choose your ideal car at a fair price - from Mat Watson!
This is the Peugeot 5008… And it might just be one of the most desirable 7-seaters available today!
There’s no denying it’s one good-looking MPV in disguise - especially when you consider prices start from just below £30,000! But that’s not all! The good looks don’t end on the outside, with a smart, modern infotainment system awaiting you once you step inside.
When it comes to performance… Well, you’re probably not too bothered if you’re choosing this car! However, it’s not all that bad. Under the bonnet, the range-topper comes equipped with a 1.6-litre turbo petrol to deliver 181hp. But unfortunately, it’s only FWD - as are all other models of the 5008.
So what do you think - do the good looks, coupled with the relatively affordable costs, make this the must have 7-seater in 2021? You’ll have to keep watching to find out!

Mat, I really enjoy your reviews - you crack me up. However, why are you trying to put your elbow in your cup? I think you're nitpicking a problem that doesn't actually exist? If you have the manual gearbox (I do), the placement of the cupholders isn't great for larger travel mugs, (which you've mentioned before) but when you're reviewing the automatic, it just isn't an issue and you would never put your elbows out in front of you in the way you demonstrated - what's occurring there fella?

    2. Kevin Dunham

What happens if you have big legs and a long back the steering wheel in your nuttzzzzzzzzzzzz

    3. Neon Marker

But do the rear windows go all the way down?

    4. Fire of Paradise

I really love peugeot cars, but I dunno why I HATE the new 5008

    5. arbimd2

What I love about Peugeot cars is there: Turning circle is very small Fuel economy Noise Insulation And The GT models are quick to get ahead at traffic lights

Just got this car in 1.5 131hp GT automatic pearlescent white configuration for 37k € (with all of the optionals. Except the 19inches rims and the ugliest leather seats. Git the 18inches Los Angeles rims that look AMAZING). Going from an opel zafira (2012) to this...i gotta say i now feel like a badass. This car is beatiful. Its perfect because i really need all the space in the back for work. I only tried it for a few minutes but the engine feels as good as the zafira's 2.0 165hp engine somehow. But the gears feel way better. Its also sooo much more comfortable. I mean it feels like it was made for me. Luckily i didnt get the panoramic roof cuz im 1.86m tall and i saw that with the panoramic roof you dont have any headspace. Im getting it next monday/tuesday, keys in hand. It was their only available model and with the shitshow we are now in, ordering a new one i heard might take even more than 6 months. I might come back later to review the car. First impressions?? I LOVE IT. Its definetly not my personal car, the alfa romeo mito lol. Im just scared it might be too big and bulky. I needed a big car with lots of space, especially the trunk, that can reliably, comfortably and quietly drive for....around 700km per week. But it cant be a huge and pricey SUV cuz i need to park it easily cuz i need to jump from parking spot to parking spot in pretty tight roads. Wee were going for a bmw x3 or a tiguan but the tiguan was way too small. Might get the BMW x3 later? I dont know if we made the right choice here... a bmw x3 150hp for 50k € vs 5008 130hp for 37k €...any car enthusiasts can vouch for my choice between the 2?? Did i do the right thing?? Lets say that money wasnt an issue but saving 13k € is..."important" lol.

If the steering wheel is blocking the dials, you are not sitting correctly, Mat. Since the diameter of the steering wheel is so small, you would be sitting too low down in relation to the steering wheel with your arms. You'd have to lift your arms to reach up for the steering wheel. If your arms grip the wheel in a natural/proper angle from your body, you would easily see above the steering wheel; regardless of how tall you are, or whether you prefer to sit low or high in the cockpit.

    8. Olalekan Ojo

Rear Bumper design is not new.

    9. m don

Peugeot are a great car. They are a long way from the tragic stuff they made a few years back...

    10. Patrick

5:15 sorry but i heard buttholes

    11. Dawin Alexander

It's not even all wheel drive?

    12. Miguel dream channel

anyone noticed that the part where it suppost to say boot it says boor?

    13. Ross Beeby

      I put 1 in today 👍👍👍

    14. Ognjen Maletic

Mat: It's easy to park it in tight spaces Space behind : enough for a Mercedes lorry lol

    15. Emre A.

Hahaha this video made me laugh a lot :D Thanks Matt!

    16. Icke deren

as a Puget owner I must say the sport mode changes the power immensely and you can feel the increase in horse power. Not something you test driving 32km/h. Just thought u didn't do it justice in your review.

    17. Kenan Pasic

      Weeeeeeeryyy agly car 🏳️‍🌈

    18. Jonny Jones

The only way a 7 seater works is like a full size landcruiser, a third row in these is pointless & you can't remove the third row when purchasing. Get rid of the 3rd row & turn it into a decent hybrid.

    19. Samuel Silva

Can you do the new Kia Sorento?

    20. Owen Downey

Got one. Got 3 small kids and the 3 full seats in the back were the seller for me. Loads of room.

    21. GreenTea

So the 2.0 diesel is in he 5008 but not the 3008

    22. sheldonv8

God that's ugly on the outside and tacky on the inside. . If I ever buy anything like that then please shoot me!!!!

    23. Deenuka Gunawardana

Mat why don't u race the honda crv with the rav 4 and some other suvs

    24. Funnorma TV

    25. Nesar Siddiqui

      Great review, much thanks

    26. Alexei Cristea

Thanks a lot for the review, I just ordered the GT Pack 2L Diesel with 7 seats, grip control and night vision, instead of the Skoda Kodiaq Style 4x4. I love the interior and the comfort from Peugeot, thanks for sharing!

    27. Mike Downing

Every Peugeot review says the same thing about the dash visibility... But... You're meant to look through the wheel, not over it, certainly in the previous generation of cars. Different to other manufacturers, but unless you're 7 foot or 4 foot tall it's not likely to be a problem.

    28. Ivo Fixzone

If Audi and Merc can get away with fake exhaust pipes , why not Peugeot ?

    29. Edwin

Bad advertising from your side regarding Nespresso :). Nespresso is not instant coffee.. it is 100% arabica coffee and it's a very good coffee.. Just break that coffee capsule after you used it and you'll see. Great review of the Peugeot BTW!

    30. TO DREAM

have you seen the new Peugeot 308? it looks sooooo great

    31. Yoshimorii Lewis

Literally everyone: Large SUV! America: Midsize...

    32. Graham Coulstock

      Look like a nio

    33. Peter Cavellini

Octavia is slightly better?!, still not enough load space for seven going even on a weekend break!

    34. Peter Cavellini

It may seat seven, but seven couldn’t go on holiday in it, where would all the luggage go?

    35. Ka Ark

      I am looking forward 508 COUPE!!!! 508クーペでないかな?

    36. Shaheen Hussain

      Best RS cars🥳

    37. Luke Nukem

2:37 "why is he going to the wrong side?" 2:39 "ah yes.. Great Britain" Greetings from germany, good review 😁

    38. Max's Technology

Hey Carwow and Matt. Could you please review the new Kia Sorento? Thanks

    39. Cee

If the dealer network were better here in Australia I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Instead bought a Ford. This is basically a new version of the Grand Picasso. Which we just sold. Which was awesome.

    40. Cee

Do the headlights have active shadowing?

    41. الحقيقة

If you’re watching this video I hope you get this car and achieve all of your dreams

    42. Chakib Baiker

If you're tall enough to set the steering column that high, you're tall enough to see over the rim. But you're not, that's why it blocks the display for you.

    43. Uhuru Mkali

The Boot is a Boor! 😉

    44. Paulo Sà

I Matt Thanks for the video. The 1.5 diesel Peugeot is not att all reliable. 60.000 kms and it's broken.

    45. Julien Flam

Great video as usual! I was just disapointed for not having heard any famous french accent from mat 😂

    46. Jose Ricardo Treviño

I want to see a review of the Peugeot Rifter!

      It’s not a SUV

    48. Mahziyar gm

      Very nice car

    49. Gen the Master

      After i herd perjo 👁️👃👁️ 👄

    51. Morena Ralake

      What is a boor

    52. Bert Carneval Lai

what defines the difference between an suv and mpv, cause i cant seem to see the difference anymore

    53. Arpandeep Chandi

Matt says that it’s hard to tell that it’s the new one unless your a journalist but I could see from the number plate.

    54. Dave Dave

There really are people in this world who go out and buy peugeots.... My god

    55. Sir Reaper

I have sat in all the different positions I could and not one of them caused the steering wheel to block the instruments. So I really don’t understand how that happens.

    56. Marcelo Lorenzo

Your videos are amazing BuT, CAN you plz film the car interior not your face? Tks!

    57. Reza Alemi

Please do a dragrace with Audi TTRS and Mercedes Benz AMG A45s

    58. Zijad Jasarspahic

This filming location really takes me back 10 years ago, in the Carbuyer period.

    59. Bartolek

I know these "ordinary" cars are not the most popular on the channel, but I really love watching reviews of the ones that some of us can actually buy!

    60. jaychristie909

I wish the editors would focus less on needless cutaway gags and more on leveling the volume on these reviews. Shat myself at the cookie dough thing.

    61. Nikolay Rayanov

      No AWD? This is rubbish.

    62. JosiLad

Hi Matt, can you please do a review of the Kia Ceed GT line 2021 model?

    63. Matthias Ploner

can you make a video about the new f-pace?

    64. Ezequiel Dos Reis

I'm waiting the review of the new 308 !!

    65. İbrahim Erdoğan

      Bizim türk pejo aşıkları gelmeden

    66. Vølga

0:19 No its not desireable at all. All modern cars are soulless and boring to drive.

    67. Serhiy 123

If steering wheel blocks dashboard for you in new peugeots - you're siting position is simply incorrect. other story is that rectangularish wheel is no-no for any defensive driving maneuvers.

    68. Shakur Shire

thank you for your efforts, can you please make a review the Volkswagen t-roc cabriolet

    69. TSM

      Where’s the new Peugeot badge?

    70. Lift Reals

      Plz stop judging the cars!!!

    71. VintageDriver

All German just buy others shortlist

    72. ぴよぴよ

    73. Stef Geerits

The small steering wheel, and the "annoying" seperate cruise control controls are my favorite parts about peugeots :)

    74. Stratos p

Peugeot is killing it with their design and quality since 2017 . Bravo Peugeot you nailed it against

    75. BenPBL

Never really understood the apeal of new peugeots... way too much going on

    76. Phil B

If you fill this car up with the full family capacity of two adults and FIVE kids you should truly be ashamed of your carbon footprint going down the ages. You do NOT need five children......

    77. jack Randall 911

      Peugeot the best car😄

    78. Sam Beaumont

Wouldn’t The centre console cubby with double opening would be really annoying? Looks like it would be frustrating

    79. Andrei Dakz

Skoda is slightly better for cargo but 5008 is much better when it comes in interior. 😁

    80. Mazen Barsali

The old one looks waaaaay much better

    81. snmthecloser

“Uh lih uh bih uh scratchy plastic”

Exactly the same engine used by Ford for their modeo and kuga 4x4.

    87. Daniel W.

The intro was really good. Keep this style!

    88. Michal Klucz

    89. Bojan Jovanovic

    90. Kzn Nzn

      Peasants car

    91. liamcinq

Wish they would stop putting the model designation on the bonnet, I believe its a homage to the Peugeots of the 70's like the X2 C pillar badge on the BMW.

    92. Michael

The camera man or person is drunk and wobbling all over. DOES MY HEAD in.
