This is the Peugeot 5008… And it might just be one of the most desirable 7-seaters available today!
There’s no denying it’s one good-looking MPV in disguise - especially when you consider prices start from just below £30,000! But that’s not all! The good looks don’t end on the outside, with a smart, modern infotainment system awaiting you once you step inside.
When it comes to performance… Well, you’re probably not too bothered if you’re choosing this car! However, it’s not all that bad. Under the bonnet, the range-topper comes equipped with a 1.6-litre turbo petrol to deliver 181hp. But unfortunately, it’s only FWD - as are all other models of the 5008.
So what do you think - do the good looks, coupled with the relatively affordable costs, make this the must have 7-seater in 2021? You’ll have to keep watching to find out!

Mat, I really enjoy your reviews - you crack me up. However, why are you trying to put your elbow in your cup? I think you're nitpicking a problem that doesn't actually exist? If you have the manual gearbox (I do), the placement of the cupholders isn't great for larger travel mugs, (which you've mentioned before) but when you're reviewing the automatic, it just isn't an issue and you would never put your elbows out in front of you in the way you demonstrated - what's occurring there fella?
What happens if you have big legs and a long back the steering wheel in your nuttzzzzzzzzzzzz
But do the rear windows go all the way down?

What I love about Peugeot cars is there: Turning circle is very small Fuel economy Noise Insulation And The GT models are quick to get ahead at traffic lights
Just got this car in 1.5 131hp GT automatic pearlescent white configuration for 37k € (with all of the optionals. Except the 19inches rims and the ugliest leather seats. Git the 18inches Los Angeles rims that look AMAZING). Going from an opel zafira (2012) to this...i gotta say i now feel like a badass. This car is beatiful. Its perfect because i really need all the space in the back for work. I only tried it for a few minutes but the engine feels as good as the zafira's 2.0 165hp engine somehow. But the gears feel way better. Its also sooo much more comfortable. I mean it feels like it was made for me. Luckily i didnt get the panoramic roof cuz im 1.86m tall and i saw that with the panoramic roof you dont have any headspace. Im getting it next monday/tuesday, keys in hand. It was their only available model and with the shitshow we are now in, ordering a new one i heard might take even more than 6 months. I might come back later to review the car. First impressions?? I LOVE IT. Its definetly not my personal car, the alfa romeo mito lol. Im just scared it might be too big and bulky. I needed a big car with lots of space, especially the trunk, that can reliably, comfortably and quietly drive for....around 700km per week. But it cant be a huge and pricey SUV cuz i need to park it easily cuz i need to jump from parking spot to parking spot in pretty tight roads. Wee were going for a bmw x3 or a tiguan but the tiguan was way too small. Might get the BMW x3 later? I dont know if we made the right choice here... a bmw x3 150hp for 50k € vs 5008 130hp for 37k €...any car enthusiasts can vouch for my choice between the 2?? Did i do the right thing?? Lets say that money wasnt an issue but saving 13k € is..."important" lol.
If the steering wheel is blocking the dials, you are not sitting correctly, Mat. Since the diameter of the steering wheel is so small, you would be sitting too low down in relation to the steering wheel with your arms. You'd have to lift your arms to reach up for the steering wheel. If your arms grip the wheel in a natural/proper angle from your body, you would easily see above the steering wheel; regardless of how tall you are, or whether you prefer to sit low or high in the cockpit.
Rear Bumper design is not new.
Peugeot are a great car. They are a long way from the tragic stuff they made a few years back...

as a Puget owner I must say the sport mode changes the power immensely and you can feel the increase in horse power. Not something you test driving 32km/h. Just thought u didn't do it justice in your review.

The only way a 7 seater works is like a full size landcruiser, a third row in these is pointless & you can't remove the third row when purchasing. Get rid of the 3rd row & turn it into a decent hybrid.

Got one. Got 3 small kids and the 3 full seats in the back were the seller for me. Loads of room.
So the 2.0 diesel is in he 5008 but not the 3008
God that's ugly on the outside and tacky on the inside. . If I ever buy anything like that then please shoot me!!!!

Thanks a lot for the review, I just ordered the GT Pack 2L Diesel with 7 seats, grip control and night vision, instead of the Skoda Kodiaq Style 4x4. I love the interior and the comfort from Peugeot, thanks for sharing!
Every Peugeot review says the same thing about the dash visibility... But... You're meant to look through the wheel, not over it, certainly in the previous generation of cars. Different to other manufacturers, but unless you're 7 foot or 4 foot tall it's not likely to be a problem.
If Audi and Merc can get away with fake exhaust pipes , why not Peugeot ?
Bad advertising from your side regarding Nespresso :). Nespresso is not instant coffee.. it is 100% arabica coffee and it's a very good coffee.. Just break that coffee capsule after you used it and you'll see. Great review of the Peugeot BTW!

If the dealer network were better here in Australia I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Instead bought a Ford. This is basically a new version of the Grand Picasso. Which we just sold. Which was awesome.

If you're tall enough to set the steering column that high, you're tall enough to see over the rim. But you're not, that's why it blocks the display for you.

If steering wheel blocks dashboard for you in new peugeots - you're siting position is simply incorrect. other story is that rectangularish wheel is no-no for any defensive driving maneuvers.

The small steering wheel, and the "annoying" seperate cruise control controls are my favorite parts about peugeots :)
